Air Cargo Import & Export

Send and Receive Goods by Air

When speed matters, air freight gets your goods there fast — and we take care of the paperwork and customs.

When to Choose Air Freight

Air is the fastest way to move goods between countries. It is a good choice when:

  • the goods are urgent
  • the goods are valuable
  • the goods are perishable
  • the shipment is small or light

For large or heavy cargo that is not urgent, sea freight usually costs much less.

Air Cargo Imports

Buying goods from abroad? We work with your supplier to get them on a flight, then take over when they land:

  1. Shipment details

We confirm what is being sent, the weight and size, and when it will be ready.

  2. Documents

We check the invoice, packing list and air waybill, plus any permits your goods need.

  3. Arrival and customs

We clear the goods through customs and explain any duties and charges.

  4. Delivery

We deliver the goods to you, or arrange storage until you are ready.

Air Cargo Exports

Sending goods abroad? We make sure your cargo is packed, labelled and documented correctly so the airline accepts it. We then book the flight, prepare the export documents and keep you updated until it arrives.

How Air Freight Is Priced

Air freight is charged by weight — but for light, bulky items it is charged by size instead (called volumetric weight). That is why accurate measurements give you a more accurate quote.

What We Need From You

  • Whether it is an import or an export
  • What the goods are and how they are packed
  • The number of packages, and the length, width, height and weight of each
  • Where the goods are coming from and going to
  • When the goods will be ready, and when they must arrive
  • Anything special — such as batteries, chemicals, perishable or fragile items

Air Cargo FAQs

How long does air freight take?

It depends on the route and the flights available. We will give you the expected timing with your quote.

Can I send anything by air?

Not quite. Airlines have strict safety rules, and some items — such as certain batteries, chemicals and aerosols — are restricted. Tell us what you are sending and we will check it for you.

Which documents do I need?

Usually a commercial invoice, a packing list and an air waybill, plus any permits your goods require. We prepare or check these for you — see shipment documentation.

Do you clear air cargo through customs?

Yes. We clear your goods when they land and arrange delivery. See clearing and forwarding.
